My preschooler and 2nd grader woke up not feeling a 100% percent today. As the morning progresses they are starting to be themselves. So, I sent them to school today. Around 10:30am my preschooler teacher called me because he vomit after eating a snack. He was dropped off to school with his grandparents. They also took my youngest son with them. I just left a message to let them know what happened because I don't have any way to contact them. They don't have a cell phone (we tried giving them one but they refused to use it) and I don't know where they went. Instead of coming straight to my house, they had to go back to my preschoolers school to pick him up, which by the way not there anymore. I could have told them if they only taken the cell phone we are giving them, this would never happen. Oh well, that's the way they want it.
Have a safe and spookable Halloween everyone!

If you are like me who like bedroom furniture, please check out John Lewis Bedrooms furniture in UK. They have beds for children, adults, and guests. Their furniture allows you to keep your clutter hidden and you only need to get it out when you require it. After all, storage is the number one concern in most bedrooms with the linens, clothes, and numerous other items that make their way to the bedroom. Just like mine, I hide everything that is breakable in my bedroom. I can’t display them right now because of my little children.
When you decide to buy the best, including mattresses, seek out John Lewis furniture. They are committed to providing you with the modern ideas that are require for today’s bedroom while furnishing quality as well.
Tibetan medicine and traditional Chinese medicine both have their roots in Ayurveda. Early Greek medicine also embraced many concepts originally described in the classical Ayurvedic medical texts. Ayurveda has been used and practiced throughout the subcontinent, Indonesia and many other countries in the surrounding region for thousands of years, although it was often suppressed during various occupations in those areas.
Recently the western world, particularly Europe and the United States, has become increasingly fascinated with and interested in Ayurvedic medicine.
I grow up using holistic medicine. Whenever me and my siblings are sick my mother always gathers many medicinal plants and herbs to cure us. There are time that we need to drink boiled roots and leaves until we get better. They grow all this plants around their house in Philippines. They have cure for flu, cold, cough, headache, constipation, diarrhea and a lot more. Pharmaceutical companies will never make any money off them.
I wish I can plant all these medicinal plant in my property too. But sad to say, I can't plus I don't even know where I can find these plants. Then the pharmaceutical companies can't make money from us either. Did you know that you can't buy Vitamin C over the counter anymore in CANADA? Yup, now who is making money out of Vitamin C?

I do feel bad not having all the materials needed for my K, but at the same time I don't want to wait forever before starting her home school. They gave me the first day to start it, but I waited three days before starting because I want to use her own computer for school.
We are still missing some books. Hopefully we don't need any of those this quarter. I just happy that they finally sent me some materials for phonics and language arts. I think that is a must.
Once in a while, DD still asked if she can go back to regular school. I don't want to tell her that she can't, but route the conversation to "all of you will be home school, don't be jealous of your brothers". Sometimes it helps but sometimes it doesn't and if that happens I don't response to her and direct her attention to other things.
It's hard, to tell her the actual reason. Her little mind can't understand any of it.

Since DD stayed home to learn, she received two birthday party invites. One will be next weekend and the the second one is on the 15th. I am glad that even though she is home school she can still attend her old classmates birthday parties, and be around other kids her age.
Btw, we are getting better every day. When she gets prostrated and don't want to do her school works, I will say "we're going to be doing this until you go to bed" and she moved. Believe me, I don't like teaching her all day. But when it comes to it, we have to do it all day. I'm hoping we don't come to that. I need to be firm with the rules. And sometimes I need to raise my voice to get my point across.
But over all we are doing fine. I hope next time I can say, we are doing fantastic. Have a great weekend my blogger friends. I need so much rest this weekend, I'm beat.
We usually do this at our local photographers. I always make sure that the kids are not tired and hungry when getting their pictures taken. But it doesn’t always go the way I planned it. So, this year we will try to take their picture at home, and edit it with my picture editor. We are thinking about using Vista Print for our Christmas Cards this year. We don’t need to leave the house to get it done and there is no stress for me and the kids. I hate waiting for our turn and telling the kids to stop running around in our local studio.
Visit Vista Print for you Holiday Card needs. You can get you cards as soon as three days. They have the lowest price with satisfaction guarantee.

I am getting the hang of home school. All I have to do is follow the teacher guides and all the direction. But I have to do most of the reading for my Kindergarten, because the words she know is very limited.
She learned /m/, /t/, /n/, /p/, /long e/, and /h/ sounds so far. Did I mention she loves art and anything the is associated with it?

I am so tired today, like the title say, we survive the first day of home school. We learn about the beginning, middle and end. And before, between and after. We read a page of Cinderella story, she practiced writing the alphabets, and the /m/, /t/ sounds.
DD love art, I think she can do it all day if I let here. We have 2 extra classes tomorrow and all her younger sibling will be home all day. Hopefully they both behave, I didn't have any problem with YDS today. But I know everyday comes with different obstacles.
I hope we can do it again tomorrow.

He get home at 4pm today. We set up the computer/accessories and printer. It's not plug in as of yet because we don't have power strip to plug in yet. I was hoping to get it done today but DH had other plans...like taking a nap...lol. I guess moving those heavy desks worn him out. I need to out tomorrow in our local computer store to get some art papers, sketch papers, and such for DD to use. Plus the power strip and other accessories she may need later in the week.
It's going to be a busy week.

Btw, I didn't win the cubicles I bid on yesterday. So, DH is going to pick up to desks we bought from eBay just now. We are hoping it will fit on his truck. He only got a 7 foot bed on it and the desks are 53 inches long each, and 30 inches wide each. He may have to let it stand up on the side to make it fit.
You will see my post below for the rest of DD materials and hardware. The image is what the desks looks like. We bought two for DD and DS (whom is not enroll yet because of paper works), and yes the chairs are included. We will put them facing each other, and maybe buy some kind of divider later. I don't want to hear them yelling at each other like "he/she is looking at me or leave me alone". They can be very mean at each other sometimes.
Thursday, October 16, 2008
There is no backing out now, I got all the materials and hardware needed for my DD home schooling. I got the hardware yesterday and the materials came in today. If we can finish setting this up this weekend, I will start her on Monday.
We need to run another Ethernet cable to my bedroom, re-arrange our bed and set up the desk for her. I am bidding on a commercial desk on e-bay right now. Hoping to win it, if not we need to pick one up from my local store. This item can make 10 cubicles, later on we will use 4 of them. (for my 4 DC) And we can probably use the rest for DH and other computers in the house, and throw all the process wood desks away.
With this new computer, now we have 8 total in the house including the laptop. More than enough for everyone, we are only 7. When my DS gets approved in home school we are going to have 9 computers and 3 printers. Now, I need to teach them fast to help me blogging and grabbing opps...he he he.
I will set their classroom in my bedroom because we have the biggest bedroom in the house, and they are not allowed to come in unless I'm with them. We planned on putting it in the living room but we figure that the little ones will not leave it alone and break something. Mind you, this hardware are only here for school work. We are kinda using it for free, well our school tax is paying for it.
That's it for now, I will visit all of you whenever I have time. Wish me luck! And I will post a picture as soon as we set it up.

Clean raw milk from pastured cows is a complete and properly balanced food. You could live on it exclusively if you had to. Published accounts exist of people who have done just that. Look it up. Let's look at the ingredients to see what makes it such a powerful food.
Raw cow's milk has all 20 of the standard amino acids, saving our bodies the work of having to convert any into usable form. About 80% of the proteins in milk are caseins - reasonably heat stable but easy to digest. The remaining 20% or so fall into the glass of whey proteins. It is easy to digest, but very heat sensitive (that is why pasteurization is bad), these include key enzymes (specialized proteins) and enzymes inhibitors, immunoglubins (antibodies), metalbinding proteins, vitamin binding proteins and several growth factors. You will not get them when drinking pasteurized and homogenized milk.
Lactoferrin, an iron-binding protein has numerous beneficial properties including improved absorption and assimilation of iron, anti-cancer properties and anti-microbial action against species of bacteria responsible for dental cavities. Recent studies also reveal that it has powerful antiviral properties as well.
Raw milk also contains fat (the good one), carbohydrates, enzymes, vitamins, minerals, milk sugar (lactose), and acids. Please support raw milk consumption. If you live in Northeast PA let me know. Just make sure you like it and believe that drinking raw milk is good for you, because I don't want to loss my raw milk supplier.

Homogenization is a process to prevent or delay natural separation of cream from the rest of the emulsion. The fat in milk normally separates from the water and collects at the top. Homogenization breaks the fat into smaller sizes so it no longer separates, allowing the sale of non-separating 1%, 2%, and whole milk. This is accomplished by forcing the milk at high pressure through small orifices.
Another method of homogenization uses extruders, hammermills, or colloid mills to mill (grind) solids.
So, pasteurizing our raw milk is not enough. Commercialize farmers needs to homogenized it too to kill what ever is left that are good and bad for the human body. Not only that, they will also add non natural ingredients to it.
Solution: stop the commercialization of milk. There a lot of farmer in this world to supply milk to about everyone. Supporting your local farmers is the place to start. If a farmer have enough land for the cows to grace, there is no way that raw milk will get contaminated with e-coli and such. But if they have limited space, that's where the problem begins. Natural food are good for everyone. Once you alter mother natures given gift, they are not good anymore.
Organic milk that are sold in store is not healthy, if they are pasteurized and homogenized. Then again you will not find raw milk in any grocery store in this country. You are better off buying it from your local farmers.
Stay away from any commercialized products, in my opinion. Support anything that are natural.

Do we really need to pasteurized our milk? A lot of you will strongly say, yes but in my case, i will say no. Do you even know what pasteurization do to raw milk? Yes, I understand that most of you don't want to consume certain disease-carrying germs and would like to make it last longer. But how come our grandparents live that long without any problem with raw milk?

Not in America. If you don’t have a talent, determination and the looks you will never make it in this industry. But you can always be cast as extra on movies or TV shows. And start from there, and picked up some good advice from the lead rules. You can start at Talent6, you can search for casting calls, talent search, and sign up for instant casting call directly to your mobile phone. It begins by making a phone call to their toll free phone number to talk with a portfolio manager at 1-800-493-9047. Movie extras get paid from $100 to $300 per day, depending on the project. If you love acting, this is your chance to make it big. No experience required.
But I notice that the schedule will not start until next Wednesday. I'm hoping everything will be here by that time. I read so much about it today and I'm having a head ache, and I'm ready to take my night time zzzz.
I will apologized now if I'm not able to visit and drop EC in the future. I think my first week will be hectic. But as soon as I get the hang of it, I will sure come back.

DH told me that no answer does not means that she agree. So, I sent a note this morning asking her to call me about the trip tomorrow. Sure enough DH was right, now I have learn something new today.
I'm happy to, because I don't need to take off my DS from his class tomorrow. I know he rather hang out with me, but he needs to be with other kids his age. Plus I'm paying for it, missing the class does not mean that I get some credit.
Just a regular day for us tomorrow.

Back to my title, have you notice any weird convoy vehicles in your local highways these days? And my DH friend saw it today for the first time. What I saw is these vehicles below (smaller than this one), escorted by white SUV and white car with official license plates and with drivers in black uniform just like swats team uniforms.
My DH friend saw a weird looking black SUV's driving at the same highway where I saw what I mentioned above. It here, they are already deploying the troops in our own backyard. Watch out for it and vote against it. Wake up for those of you that are still sleeping, and pretending that our government will never harm it's own citizens.
And next time I'll make sure that I have my camera ready when driving in the highway to get a picture of these convoy I am talking about.

Have you tried looking up something on Phone Book online? You don't need to keep those bulky phone books, you get free in your mail box anymore. You can search land line numbers, cell numbers, and the ever famous reverse phone search. Search phone numbers that are listed and unlisted locally, states wide, and nationally at national phone book. Check it out.
We will try to keep the house around 55 to 60 degrees F, to save electric bill this winter. We can all wear layer clothing to keep warm. Every winter every time someone comes to visit, they always say that our is so warm. This time they don't have to worry about it.
Anyway, I hate the smell of newly turned on baseboard heater. I think all the dust are burning and it stinks.
So, how the temperature in your neck of the woods? How warm do you keep your house?
Trace any phone numbers with Reverse Phone Lookups. Using this service is easy way to track down information about the owner of a particular number. Who is keep calling you but never leave a message. You can access their database and background information about phone owners. This service is also available with cell phone numbers, try it out today.
So, I'm off to copy that and send it to them today.
With online Phone Book Lookup you don't need the bulky phone book you get for free from your mail box. All you need to do is, go online and type in the phone number and cell number. They also offer 411, white pages, reverse phone look up and search phone numbers. They is good feature to have but if you need to pay for it, I rather do it the old fashion way.
Now being me, I like to pick the best one and use it. Mind you, all the mail get delivered anyway. The given address is being use by UPS and Fed Ex. The utility companies is using the property address, and the post office is using the mailing address. And since the big things are more important we are using what UPS and Fed Ex are using.
To many hassle with this addresses. Argh!

When we first moved here, we get a lot of unknown caller. I guessed the person who use to own our number never told anyone that they have a new number and moved. And the Phone Number Reporter would a nice feature to have then. All you have to do is type in the number and write some important details about the caller. Your comments will be added in their database to help other know more about that number. Please check it out.
