I have mention here last year about the blood type diet. I read it from "The Maker's Diet" by Jordan S. Rubin book. A little old book but hey, if you trying to lose weight you need to try everything.
It stated that type O blood are descended from the earliest human, who were physically active and ate a diet composed mostly of meat with little or no grain. Even now you are require to eat large amounts of meat and a lot of exercise.
Type A descended from agrarian humans, are more docile, thrive on vegetables and fruits and should avoid meat and dairy products.
Type B descended from nomadic herders, thrive on dairy products, and require only moderate exercise.
Type AB do not handle meat well, they should eat fish, grains and soy base products.
Proponents of the blood-type diet claim that lectins, especialized protiens in foods such as cereals and beans, are incompatible with certain blood types, causing many ailments such as kidney failure, arthro-sclerosis, and food allergies.
Try it out, you have nothing to lose just to try it. And of course if you are allergic to any of the food said under your blood type do not eat it. These are just guidelines when you are trying to lose some weight.
My DH and I are both type B and we don't eat much meat. DH loves milk and I am milk intolerance. I did not grow up with it and after taking the Chelation Detox, I was able to drink raw milk with no problem. My ODS who is AB blood type loves to eat meat and pasta. Maybe that will catch up with him later on, I don't know.
