More Authority

So they think that they have more authority over a human being. I am talking about the school district or the school that my children are using. They are home learning and every time they have to join other children from the same school, I have to go through so much crap with the permission slip.

Other people never had any problem with what is said in this permission slip, but I do and DH feel the same. This what it comes to, when the public ask of them too much. They ask them to be responsible for their children while under their care. I don't like it. I am there with them during the event and I don't need to sign a stupid permission slip. They are my responsibility because I am there with them.

How many more parental right will be loss before the public will realize that what they are doing is wrong and not lawful. No, they are not following the law! The so called law that they are talking about are only rules, regulations and statutes. Look it up in a dictionary because they all have different meaning. The older the dictionary is, the better explanation you will get...NO ONE HAS AUTHORITY OVER ANOTHER HUMAN BEING...PERIOD.

Threat for Missing Attendance

A few days ago I missed putting my DD (2nd grader) attendance on the computer and the very next day her teacher sent me a threatening letter that if she miss 2 more times that the district court will be contacting me about the matter and a proper punishment will be given.

I flipped out on both attendance monitor and the teacher. What are they robots? If they checked my DD work for the day before they will see that she did her lessons. I think only robot will never notice it if they are only allowed to notice missing attendance. This school is getting out of hand and it is getting easier and easier for me to leave cyber schools.

Mind you I also have other 2 students that did lessons the day before and their attendance was put in. Just because the stupid automated back to school events phone calls that got me distracted. I was doing it and all of a sudden the phone rang. After listening to the message, I totally forgotten I haven't put DD attendance and did not look at her computer until the next day. Sure enough the attendance page was still open and blinking with red...ugh!!!

Most Annoying

All three children of mine are enrolled in cyber school. You would think they have a phone system that will call one phone number if the events going on with the school is for everyone. Nope, they need to call every child listed. That means I get three phone calls about the same thing.

I don't mind if every grade will call, and tell me that their grade is doing something. But come on, where is the organization of these people. It is the same with email. If you need to say one thing to every student enroll, please send only one. I hate going through email about the same thing, 3 times...most annoying if you ask me.

And let's get back about the phone call, I should have gotten 3 phone call since I have three kids, but I got five...that is messed up in opinion. Get a better phone system or actually pay someone to do the job the correct way.

I can't wait to hide in the boonies and not let the government run their schooling...ugh!

4th Grader Getting Worst

In doing his school work that is. You would think that he can finally do the work by himself at this grade level, but a big fat NO. He can do it much better without me telling him how to do it, but he refuses to do his work himself. I fell like strangling him a few times already. I need a cigarette just thinking about it...ugh.

My 1st grader is the one who needed a lot of help because he can't read most of the directions. I can't wait to do one lesson plan and teach them the same thing next year, of course different level. I can just type the plan on my computer and use it for all of them. Thank goodness for word, in my days they have to write it (private school) down on a notebook. Maybe they still do it, but since I will be teaching my kids at home, my computer is easily accessible.
